Raffle Rules Details
(a) No other purchase is required to participate in the St. Damian Parish Raffle; void where prohibited.
(b) For further information, call the Damian Parish Center at 708-687-1370 (Mondays Though Saturdays during business hours)
(c) The official St. Damian Parish Raffle Rules are summarized as follows:
(i) There will be a maximum of (40) cash prizes awarded
(ii) The final date for purchasing a Raffle ticket is Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 8 PM CDT, or the date on which all 2,000 Raffle tickets are sold, whichever occurs sooner.
(iii) You must be a minimum of 18 years of age to purchase one or more Raffle tickets; you must provide your personal SSN in order to claim a (cash) Raffle prize.
(iv) To enter the Raffle, fill-in the contact info form with the desired quantity of tickets; and amount enclosed, and bring the completed form along with a check payable to St. Damian Church to the Parish Center, 5250 W. 155th Street, Oak Forest, IL during business hours.
(v) A maximum of 2000 Raffle tickets will be sold. For each Raffle ticket purchased, the estimated odds of winning each Raffle prize are as follows:
Grand Prize ($50,000): 1 in 2,000; 2nd Prize ($10,000): 1 in 2000; 3rd Prize ($5,000): 1 in 2,000; 4th Prizes ($1,000): 3 in 2,000; 5th Prizes ($500.00) 1 in 200; 6th Prizes ($250.00) 7 in 2,000. The odds of winning one of the (10) weekly Early Bird Prizes (each $250) is not determinable in advance, as it is dependent on the cumulative number of tickets sold to date as the Raffle progresses.
(vi) The following raffle Prizes will be awarded based on a random drawing at the St. Damian Block Party on Saturday evening, August 26, 2017 (winners need not be present in order to win); Grand Prize ($50,000); Second Prize ($10,000); Third Prize ($5,000); Qty. 3- Fourth Prizes (each $1,000.00); Qty. 10 - Fifth Prizes (each $500.00); Qty. 14 - Sixth Prizes (each $250.00).
(vii) A total of ten (10) $250.00 "Early Bird" Raffle prizes will be awarded, randomly selected from among the Raffle tickets purchased to date; one (1) of these prizes will be drawn at Noon on consecutive Mondays commencing May 8, 2017, and ending on July 10, 2017. Winners will be notified and must visit the St. Damian Pastoral Center during normal business hours in order to claim their "Early Bird" prizes.
(viii) Form W-2G will be filed for cash prizes, in accordance with applicable IRS guidelines.
(ix) Proration of Cash Prizes: In the event that fewer than 1,600 of the 2,000 authorized Raffle tickets are sold by the August 26th drawing date, the cash prizes listed above and on the face of each Raffle ticket will be determined and pro-rated based on the percentage of the tickets actually sold prior to the Raffle drawing on Saturday evening, August 26, 2017. [For example, if only 1000 of the 2000 tickets were ultimately sold, then the Grand Prize through 6th prize will be pro-rated at 50 percent ([1,000/2,0000] x 100% of their stated value.] Provided that if 1,600 or more Raffle tickets are sold, then all herein-described cash prizes will be awarded at their stated value.]

- Tickets are $100 each. Only 2000 will be sold.
- Total of 40 prizes. 1 in 50 chance to win
- Be the Seller of more than 5 tickets and become eligible to win Seller Prizes totally $6,000. Those interested should contact Mike Bartkowski or Mike Minnis by email.
- Drawing for the Grand Prize thru 6th Prizes will begin at 8:00 pm CDT on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the St. Damian Block Party (5300 W. Damian).
- Winners need not be present at drawing.
- Winners not present will be contacted using their phone number submitted at the time of raffle ticket purchase.
- After Drawings on August 26, 2017 all Winner names and their prizes will be posted on the DamianRaffle.com and StDamianChurch.org websites and printed in the August 8-9, 2017 St. Damian Bulletin.
- Ten of the twenty-two 6th prizes of $250 will be given out as Early Bird prizes. The Early Bird drawings will be held on Mondays at noon in the St. Damian Pastoral Center from (beginning) May 8 to (including) July 10.
- Early Bird drawing winners will be chosen from the sold ticket stubs (accompanied with full payment of ticket) received by the St. Damian Business Office prior to noon on the day of the Early Bird Drawing.
- NOTE: The Memorial Day Monday Drawing will be moved to Tuesday, May 26, 2017.
- The remaining twelve 6th prizes of $250 will be drawn on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
- Early Bird Winners will continue to be eligible to win later Early Bird Prizes and the Grand Prize thru 6th prizes drawn on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
- The 2017 Damian Raffle proceeds (net of raffle expenses and prizes awarded) will be used to pay for the renovation of the main parish and school hallway. Every penny will help to provide for an updated, safer, and energy efficient space!
- Tickets may be purchased in person in the Pastoral Center, SHOP Office and SHOP table in Church Narthex on weekends.
- in the event a substantial amount of raffle tickets are not sold, then prizes listed on this website and other promotional material and on the face of the raffle tickets will be determined based on the percentage of the tickets sold before the raffle drawing on Saturday, August 26, 2017, takes place. For example, if only 1000 of the 2000 tickets are sold then the Grand Prize through 6th prize will be only 50% of their stated value. However, once 1600 or more tickets are sold, then all herein-described cash prizes will be awarded at their stated value. To track the number of tickets sold, check back on DamianRaffle.com.
